captainslow This album reminds me of a scene in a good horror movie from the 80's & 90's where it bought out raw emotion. Walking down a dark corridor in an old hotel not knowing what is going to jump out. As opposed to the horror movies now a days which are just laughable. Enjoy the different vocal projections particularly in Anthropocene. Great job Dave & band. Favorite track: Anthropocene.

about

The long awaited debut album from South West WA Doom outfit Stone Lotus.
Follow up to their 2014 self titled EP Stone Lotus's sound has matured into a lumbering mass of down tuned riffs and fuzz fuelled chaos!
All recording, production, equipment, artwork and design kept proudly West Australian.

"Comastone is a feral rager of a record, taking us down dark corridors and into forbidden landscapes, a story Stone Lotus brings to life with ingenuity and tightly honed musicianship." - Doomed & Stoned
(doomedandstoned.com/post/158963323813/stonelotus)

"Stone Lotus delivers a great disc and mark in the history of Sludge Metal and breaks this walls making this connection with who is listening." - Void : Stoner Doom Worship
(voidstonerdoomworship.wordpress.com/2017/05/19/stone-lotus-comastone/)

"Stone Lotus are right to keep in mind the flourish of atmosphere their material offers, and one hopes that develops parallel to all the crushing weight of their mountainous approach." - The Obelisk
(theobelisk.net/obelisk/2017/07/13/quarterly-review-summer-2017-day-4/)
